Whitley, Robert M. , age 80, of Midfield, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was a lifetime member of Walnut Grove Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Lewis Bunn officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Whitley. He is survived by his three sons, Keith (Susan) Whitley of Tuscaloosa, Greg (Vicki) Whitley of Pleasant Grove and Brian (Kate) Whitley of Homewood; seven grandchildren, Brenna (Trammell), Megan, Tyler, Kyle, Katherine, Ann and Sarah; two brothers, Jack Whitley and Hillary Whitley both of VA.
