Roy Franklin Hamlett   Entered this life on November 8, 1933    Entered glory on October 5, 2018

On October 5, 2018, Roy Franklin Hamlett was called home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was born November 8, 1933 in Sylacuaga, AL to Robert H. and Ella Vinvent Hamlett. Roy was one of seven children, he served in the Army as a Military policeman.  Roy married Doris Geneva Williams also of Sylacauga, AL in January 1959; they had two children, Susan Rebecca Hamlett and Roy Franklin "Frank" Hamlett, Jr.  Roy worked as a welder fro many years until his retirement. He was always working on something from cars to tillers to lawnmowers. Working with his hands and helping any and everyone was something he loved.  He will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather; anyone who knew Roy considered themselves blessed indeed.  Roy received Christ as his LORD and Savior late in life.

He was preceded into eternity by his son Frank and has now joined his dear wife Doris in the presence of Christ.Those left behind are his daughter: Susan Rebecca Hamlett (Tony) Fisher; five grandchildren, Christopher Fisher (Julie), Erin Fisher (J.D.) Dillion, Angela Hamlett (William) Wallin, Kevin Hamlett (Ashley) and Dianne Hamlett; many great grandchildren as well as several siblings and many other relatives and friends.
