Ruby Louise Knowles, age 97 of McCalla passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in McCalla.

Mrs. Knowles was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County. She was a former member of the Midfield Baptist Church where she was in the Kitchen Band. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude H. Knowles; son, Claude F. Knowles; her parents and nine siblings.

She is survived by a daughter, Wynona Windsor (Merrell); son, Walter L. Knowles (Annette); five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 12 noon at Valhalla Chapel with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
