age 81, of Pleasant Grove, passed away Sep. 30, 2006. Mr. McCain passed away at UAB's Pallative Care after complications from a stroke. He was born in Winston County to the late Elbert McCain and Iris McCain; widower of the late Louise G. McCain(1995) and predeaseded son Stephen D. McCain(2005). He retired from U.S. Steel and numerous buisness ventures. He served in WW II US Navy/Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove and Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a loving generous husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and family of church friends. He is survived by his wife Willodean Collins McCain; son Robert Randall "Randy" (Kim) McCain of Chelsea; five grandchildren Jennifer McCain Harris of Hoover, Norman (Jennifer) McCain of Hueytown, Kenneth McCain of Inverness, Lance McCain of Chelsea and Allison McCain of Chelsea; four great grandchildren; sister Etoyle McCain Tinney of Port Arther (Grove) Texas. The family would like to thank the friends and Church family, the UAB Doctors and Staff, and Pallative Care group for their loving care. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Tues., Oct. 3, 2006. Services will be on Wed., Oct. 2006 at 11:00 am at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Harold Newberry and Rev. Joe Godfrey officiating. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove.
