Brantley, Ruth "Nanny" , age 81, of Gardendale, AL, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2009. As a Mother and Grandmother she was exceptional. A very selfless person that put her God, children and family first. She was active and devoted to her church. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Randy Jasper officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Vera Roberson; her brothers, Millard "Son" Roberson, Jr. and Jim Roberson; her grandson, John Hill and her nephew, David Roberson. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dewey F. Brantley; her son Wesly (Pamala) Hill; her daughters, Debbie H. (Bill) Ramsay and Anita (Greg) Roebuck; her grandchildren, Carolee Holt, Matt Holt, Lindsey (Josh) McDanal, Scott (Katrina) Roebuck and Melissa (Scott) McKenzie; her great grandchildren, Chris, Gregory, Hunter, Gavin, Ashlee, Jaxson, Wes, Zack, Olivia and Sophia; her brother, Carl (Earline) Roberson; her sister-in-law, Frances Grogan and a number of nieces and nephews.
