Kendrick, Ruth, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Fairfield, AL passed away at her home April 22, 2009. She was born to Essie Mae and Claude Beason Feb. 19, 1918. Ruth was a long time member of Fairfield First Baptist Church and taught in the Fairfield school system for many years. She later operated a private school in the same area. Ruth is survived by two children, Carol Rose of Tyler, TX and Robert of Fairfield, AL; sisters, Nell Skates of W. Virginia, Lessie Mae Marshall of Atlanta, GA and Betty Jo Stack of Lecanto, FL. She also leaves behind three granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, several nephews and a niece. A small graveside service will be held a Valhalla Cemetery on April 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
