Sadie Jane Hurbburt Cheatham, age 86, of Hoover passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at South Haven Health and Rehab in Hoover.

Ms. Cheatham was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County and was a former member of Jonesboro Methodist Church. She loved children and spent many years in sitting for children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Cheatham and her parents, Ernest Hurbburt and Ressie Hurbburt.

She is survived by her sister; Frances Godfrey (Jim); two nieces; Jan Paine (Hank) and Anne Lipperd (Doug); a nephew, Dan Godfrey (Mary Catherine) and ten great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Big Oak Ranch.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Chapel with Rev. Steve Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery.
