Sam B. Triola (1925-2017)

Samuel Bernard Triola was born in Birmingham, Alabama on Christmas Eve, 1925 to Italian immigrants, Salvatore and Anne Triola. A veteran of the Second World War, Triola participated in naval operations throughout the Atlantic and Pacific theaters of that conflict, earning, by the war''s conclusion, the Bronze Star and, with his crew, the Presidential Unit Citation.

A loving father to two daughters and long-time employee at U. S. Steel, Triola was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Camizzi Triola, after 57 years of Marriage. Mary passed away in 2007.

He is survived by daughters Angela Triola, Michele Janeakson, son-in-law Peter Janeakson, and a favorite grandson, Samuel "Sammy" P. Janeakson.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. - 2:30 P. M.at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.. A funeral mass will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the church.
