age 79, of Midfield, passed away on Dec. 19, 2006. She was a member of Fairfield Highland United Methodist Church. Ms. DeFreese was preceded in death by her parents George W. DeFreese,Sr. and Lela C. Addington DeFreese and a sister Martha Louise Williams. She devoted her life to caring for her mother, father and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by: two sisters Evelyn Mae DeFreese Hall of Mobile and Myrtle Jean (Willie, Sr.) Shirley of Midfield; four brothers George W. DeFreese, Jr. of Alabaster, James Fredrick (Doris) DeFreese of Snider, Tx, John Albert (Carolyn) DeFreese of Walker County, Harry Lloyd (Diane) DeFreese of Pell City; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thurs., Dec. 21, 2006 from 5:00pm till 8:00 pm. A Chapel service will be Fri.,Dec. 22, 2006 at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Rev. Max Blalock officiating.
