Thomas Wiley Praytor, age 88, of Bessemer, went home to be with his Lord on March 17, 2015.

He was a dedicated Christian, a loyal friend, and a loving son, brother, husband, and uncle. He enjoyed his work as a Pharm Tech and delivery man for local pharmacies for many years, and loved his customers. He also loved his Church Families at Shephard of the Valley Presbyterian Church and The Church of God at Rock Mountain. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jean Honeycutt Praytor, parents Sinkler and Bertha Praytor, brothers Leon and Milton Praytor, Sister Wilma Goree, neice Judy Praytor (Larry) Brasher, and nephew Dennis (Sherry) Praytor.

He is survived by a brother, Doyle (Nette) Praytor, nephews Barry (Bridgette) Goree, Jackie Praytor, and Rickey Praytor, and nieces Joan Goree, Dianne (Lynn) Mask, Nancy (Mike) Colee, Beverly Praytor Clugston, and Sandra (Gary) Johnson.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
