Kitchens, Timmy Al , age 59, of Montevallo, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009. He was born on April 17, 1950 in Pea Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murriel Ellene "Ted" K. Kitchens, Brady Herston Kitchens; a sister, Darlyne K. C. Brand. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce L. H. Kitchens; sisters, Kay (James) Lawley, Mona (David) Lamb and Nanette (Tim) Tingle; brothers-in-law, David L. Brand and Jimmy Hutchison; numerous nieces and nephews. Timmy graduated from Jones Valley High School in 1968. In 1969 Timmy married Joyce, the love of his life. He served in the Army from 1969 thru 1972. He was stationed in Germany and served as a medic. He came back home and worked at mutiple jobs as a welder, mechanic, maintenance worker, manager, and at one point he and Joyce had their own company and could weld anything. He loved fast cars and motorcycles. His Harley was his Freedom on the road. He loved his wife and all their critters. He was the best brother and friend to us all. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home, Midfield. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the American Village Alabama National Cemetery. Willie Hatcher officiating. Valhalla Funeral Home Directing.
