IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tonja Maria
Acoff-Curry
April 5, 1970 – January 11, 2026
Mrs. Tonja M. Acoff-Curry was born to Joe Lee and Virginia Acoff on April 5, 1970. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Taylor; her parents, Joe and Virginia Acoff; sisters, Leatha Acoff-Foster and Joretha Acoff. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Ms. Monique Curry; her siblings, Angela Acoff, Joe Acoff Jr., Melissa Acoff, Fanta Acoff, Anthony Holt and Shaniesha Holt. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual brothers and sisters, co-workers and friends.
Tonja was a very spiritual person and dedicated her life to Jehovah on November 12, 2005. As a result, she was a kind, loving and compassionate person whom displayed strong convictions regarding her faith and family. She was loved by all, but children were especially fond of her. Tonja was always eager to preach and teach Jehovah's way whether it was door-to-door, over the phone or through letter writing. Children always held a special place in her heart. At her places of employment they always flocked to her feeling that 'auntie' love.
Our dear sister fell asleep in death on January 11, 2026 after attending her Sunday meeting via Zoom, and hearing Jehovah's words of comfort. 1 Corinthians 15:26, tells us that 'death is an enemy to us all'. Tonja knew that one day death will be done away with. But until that day, she sleeps, awaiting her resurrection into the paradise that was promised. Revelation 21:3-4.
