Drake, Vera Mary, age 94, of Hoover, AL, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hoover. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Randy Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Drake and her daughter, Merline Keeton. She is survived by three sons, Joseph (Mary) Goode, Gilbert (Bonnie) Drake and Larry Drake; one daughter, Iris Colwell; twenty grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
