Victor Carl Spanick, age 85 of Bessemer passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Baptist Princeton in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Spanick was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County where he retired from U. S. Steel with over 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served with the United States Army and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Spanick; parents, Joe and Anna Spanick; a brother, Joe Spanick; two sisters, Margaret Slovensky and Mary Kelly.

He is survived by two daughters, Anita Parsons (Pat) and Sharon Dabbs (Mike); two sons, Daniel Spanick and Michael Spanick (Kelly); 9 grandchildren, Paige (Tony), Lindsey, Jason, Justin, Daniel (Casey), Josh (Sara), Sarah (Judd), Dakota and Lexi; 7 great grandchildren; Adriana, Tony, Dylan, Micah, Peyton, Nate, and Annie.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Chapel with Mike Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of service at Valhalla Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
