age 96, of Columbiana, Alabama died August 18, 2006. She was a long time resident of Birmingham, Alabama. She is presently a member of First Baptist Church Columbiana, Alabama and a previous member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. Survivors include; son Wayne Scoggins (Phyllis) of Birmingham, AL; two grandchildren, Kathryn Morefield (David) of Westover, AL and Gregory Scoggins (Laurie Leigh) of Hoover, AL; two great grandchildren, Destiny Gooch and Dustin Gooch; brother, Louis Fortner of Joppa, AL; sisters, Sue Vinson of Midfield, AL and Mary Walton of Hoover, AL. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 20, 2006 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside service at Valhalla Cemetery will be held Monday, August 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Valhalla Funeral Home-Midfield directing.
