Virginia Wallace

Jan. 29, 1927-Feb. 13, 2018

Known as "Loretta" by her family and friends. She was born on Jan. 29,1927 to George T. and Stella C. Waldrop. She died on Feb. 13,2018. She is predeceased by her father and mother and sisters(Mary Elizabeth Waldrop and Edna Sheriff) and son(George Rich- ard Wallace). She is also predeceased by her former husband, H. Weldon Wallace and his son Ralph Wallace.

Loretta is survived by her brother Robert(Geneva) Waldrop, son Roger Wallace, six grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, three greatgreat-grandchildren. Loretta graduated Hueytown High School(1945). Following graduation she was employed at TCI(US Steel) for a number of years. She then married and had two sons.

She worked at the Southeastern Conference office for 22 years. She really loved "her" football and basketball game officials. Upon retirement, she did volunteer work for 22 years at Medical Center East. Due to health she had to end her volunteer work a few years ago. She was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church.
