Vivian S. Jordan passed away peacefully at her residence on the 22nd of November 2022 at the age of 90.

Vivian Jane Steepleton was born in Alabama City to Jewel Steepleton on September 20, 1932. She grew up surrounded by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles' houses. Vivian was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School class of 1950. After completing training at St. Vincent's School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse at Lloyd Noland Hospital where she worked for 42 years until her retirement. In 1964, Viv married the love of her life Dan. Along with marriage, Vivian welcomed daughters Jan and Jeri into her life. Shortly thereafter the two love birds welcomed three daughters Lori, Christi, and Beth. Soon after retirement she became a grandmother and being Meme to her grandchildren quickly became the second passion of her life. Vivian enjoyed coffee, cross-stitch, crossword puzzles, the color blue, sewing, sun bathing, traveling, and reading. She was always the life of the party and was fiercely loved by everyone that knew her.

Vivian is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and "Little Boy" her feline companion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Dan Jordan, daughters, Lori Elizabeth Jordan and Elizabeth Anne "Beth" Smitherman, and sister, Judy Owen.
