Wallace W. Plant, Sr., age 86, of Midfield passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Baptist Princeton Hospital.

Mr. Plant was a native of Boiling, Alabama and resided in Jefferson County most all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Army Air Corp and was a member of the VFW in Fairfield. Mr. Plant retired from RCA after 38 years of service where he worked as a television technician. He was a member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia O. Plant; parents, Ossie and Wilda Plant; daughter, Darlene Plant; two brothers, Buddy and Jerry Plant and a sister, Pat Plant.

Mr. Plant is survived by two sons, Wallace W. Plant, Jr. (Sandra) and David Plant; 9 step grandchildren and a sister, Betty Jean Markle (Lyle).

Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church with Brother Ed Cruce and Brother Harry Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Cullman, AL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
