On August 2, 2016 Wayne Connor Adkins of Birmingham passed away at age 76. He was a native of Hueytown and was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen Adkins, his daughter, Angel Houston, son-in-law, Greg Houston and two grandchildren, Chad Houston and Taylor Houston, and by his brother, Frank Adkins and his family of Chattanooga. Wayne was employed by Rust International for 30+ years in Baton Rouge, LA and later in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Valhalla Funeral Home at 2pm. Family will receive friends for a visitation hour from 1pm to 2pm at Valhalla Funeral Home one hour prior to service. Internment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
