age 85, of Lipscomb, AL, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010. He was a World War II Veteran serving with the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Porter and his brother, John H. Porter, Jr. He is survived by his brothers, Ben Porter and Donald Porter; his sisters, Dorothy Blalock and Judy Roberts. Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 18, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
