William R. Aston, Jr. passed away at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama on August 4, 2009. He was 87 years old. Mr. Aston was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church and a former member of Central Park United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Bruce Aston and brother Walter Aston. He is survived by two sons William Aston and Dale Aston and daughter in-law, Marcia Aston. Bill has four grandchildren and four great grand children. A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 8, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Bluff Park United Methodist Church at 733 Valley St., Bluff Park, AL 35226. A brief visitation prior to the service will be held at 1:45PM in the narthex of the church. In lieu of flowers it is requested that gifts be made in memoriam to the Pastor's Fund at Bluff Park United Methodist Church for the benefit of the needy. Private internment will follow the service at Valhalla Cemetery in Bessemer.
