Jones, William Lucius"Bill", age 85, of Sylvan Springs, AL, passed away October 2, 2008. He served in Italy during WWII in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Frisco Railroad for several years before joining Sloan Paper Company as a sales representative where he retired after a long employment. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Monday, October 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 6, 2008 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Sula Garner Jones and his infant son, Mark Jonathan Jones. He is survived by his loving and beloved wife of 54 years Edith Earley Jones; his son, William L. Jones, Jr., of Birmingham; a very close uncle, Ben Garner and many extended family members. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
