William Frank Bowden was born September 24, 1940 in Dolomite Alabama to William Franklin and Eunice Sellers Bowden. Frank proudly served his country four years in the Navy. He was employed as a conductor for Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 34 years. Frank went home to be with his Lord on February 21, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Braswell Bowden, son William Michael Bowden, daughter Sara Melissa Alford, brother Kenneth Bowden and his wife Yvonne (Susie) and sister Vickie Cook, and several nephews and nieces.

Frank was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast.

He and Barbara have been members of Glen Iris Baptist Church for 26 years.

Visitation will be at Glen Iris Baptist Church, 1137 10th Place South, Birmingham on Friday, February 24 from noon until 1:00 p.m. The memorial service will be at 1:00 at the church. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. Pastor Chris Lamb will officiate.
