age 72, died of heart failure on Tues., Dec. 26, 2006, at home in England. Visitation is Sat., Jan. 6, 2007, from Noon till 2:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield, AL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm at Valhalla Chapel with interment at Valhalla Cemetery. Mr. Hayes was born on Dec. 31, 1933, to the late Christopher and Edna Louis Hayes. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and lived in England for the past forty years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Ann Polly. Survivors include: his three daughters Kim Hayes of England, Michelle and her husband Donald Walters of Lynwood, WA, Evelyn and her husband Terry Townsend of Potterville, MI; son Mark and his wife Denise Hayes of Odenville, AL; his brother John Hayes of Brandon, MS; and his aunt Margaret Smith of Bessemer,AL. Seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive Mr. Hayes. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.
