Willie Crenshaw Hanson age 98 of Birmingham, AL passed away on August 10, 2019.  She was born November 1, 1920 in Franklin, GA to the late Johnnie and Eron Crenshaw and graduated Franklin High School in 1938. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and her church, she was a member of Beechwood Baptist Church.

She was a very loving and devoted wife to the late Roy Hanson, an amazing mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and sharing meals,  the holidays and on birthdays were her favorite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Eron Crenshaw; husband, Roy Hanson; daughter, Dorothy Hanson Moseley; grandson, Steven Edwards; sister, Mildred Key; brother, Tommie Crenshaw and son in law, Dale Edwards.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayla (Jim) McCleney; son, Johnnie (Jo) Hanson; grandchildren, Wendy (Jon) Klinzak, Kaye (Joseph) Moman, Ashley Hanson, and Karen (Mike) Willingham; great grandchildren, Robert Hanson, Jeremy Gipson, Elizabeth Clark, Zack Clark and Christian Gabriel; sisters, Louise Hopson and Norene Woodruff; son in law, Alan Moseley; sister in law, Bonnie Crenshaw and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 11 am to 12 noon with a funeral service to follow in the chapel at 12 noon.  Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery.
