Willie "Bill" Lynn Smith, age 88, of Lakeview, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Irene Smith; three sisters; Faye, Shirley, and June and one brother, Ted.

Bill was born in Michigan but lived in Jefferson and Tuscaloosa Counties most of his life. He was a retired firefighter with the Bessemer Fire Department for thirty-two years and was a member of First Alliance Church of Bessemer where he taught Sunday School, adults and youth, for over sixty years.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Mildred A. Smith; one son, Gary L. Smith (Brenda); two daughters; Sharon Henning (Tim) and Anita Lovell (Wayne); grandchildren; Josh Henning (Jodi), Joanna Carroll (Luke), Sarah Henning, Kayla Giles (Ben), Will Lovell, Lara Lovell, Emily Lovell, Brody and Colby Harris; great grandchildren; Madyx, Blaze, Sadie, Nash, Millie, Paislie, Baylie, Daniel, and Charlotte.
