age 81, of Hueytown, went home to be with Our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 27, 2007. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove AL. She was a former President of American Women's Business Association (Vulcan Chapter) former member of Hueytown Culture Club and Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 668. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla cemetery. Rev. Rick Cato officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 6 until 8 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Dawson. She is survived by two sons, Neil Morris (Sue) of Austin TX, Travis Gibson (Nadine) of Hoover Al; one daughter, Sharon Gladney (Ronny) of McCalla AL; seven grandchildren, Michael Morris (Karen) of Austin TX, Michelle Morris of Hoover, Lance Gibson (Carrie) of Montevallo, Tracy Lee (J) of McCalla, Kristen West (Brandon) of Hoover, Melissa Smyly (Clint) of McCalla and Ashley Gibson of Alabaster; thirteen great grandchildren; Mac and Connor Morris, Mallory, Chase and Dylan Lee, Tyler, Brandon, Morris and Marlyssa Lane, Kayla Gibson, Colby Smyly, Brasen and Charity West; two sisters, Clara Moore (Jim) and Olene Sample. Also a life long dear friend of 60 years Grace Redus. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
