Doris Crawford died peacefully on April 14 at the age of 93 after a long illness.

Doris graduated as valedictorian in 1941 from McAdory High School. After working at the Jefferson County Courthouse for several years, she spent the next 49 years giving her life in service to God in gospel work. This work took her to GA, VA, NC, SC, AL, and MS. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Retha Crawford, and her four brothers Kenneth, Richard, Jack, and Tom.

She is survived by her sister Sandra Wilson, sisters-in-law Mary Frances Crawford, Nan Crawford, and Mary Lou Lewis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 18, Vallhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Hwy, Midfield, AL 35228. Funeral to follow at 11:00.

Doris was loved by all who knew her because of her Godly counsel, care for others, kindness, and steady example.
